Can the bank come after my husband for his ex's repossessed vehicle?

Income tax refunds CANNOT be seized for that kind of debt. Unfortunately, those court divorce papers DO NOT legally absolve his responsibility to the bank automatically. That paper only assigns the responsibility of paying the debt to her. THEY can legally go after him (estate) for the money and THEN the estate would have to sue the ex for repayment of anything paid out to the bank.
