Can uncle SAM repossess my home if i fail to pay property tax?

i'm a country boy looking to move to the city. i have saved enough money to buy a home and i want to move to a good neighborhood. the only problem is that i only have experience in running a business in a small town. i fear that if worst comes, i may not have enough to pay for property tax. if i own a home outright without a loan on the property, can the government repossess my home for failure to pay for property tax? i know that i must file something.
