Our home is in active foreclosure. Is it normal to receive lots of court papers?

Our home is in active foreclosure. Is it the normal process to receive lots of papers from the court and clerk of courts. What will happen at this point. We have already moved out and the mortgage company is fully aware of this. Will they just repossess the home without going to court and end this with dignity? We are very scared.
