Any Corvette owners out there?

Okay, so I'm about to turn 18 in a few months, and my grandparents left me a little money. I'm going to pay for my college with it, but I want a little something nice for once. My family never had anything nicer than a 2007 PT Cruiser, and that got repossessed a few months after they bought it. So, I've put a lot of thought into this and I've decided I want a Corvette. I've had my heart set on one ever since I was little, and I'm finally going to be able to get one. Now I don't want to go all out buying a new one or something, I'm not planning on spending more than 30,000 on it. But I'd just like to know, (from the people that own one) about how much does it cost to maintain one and have. About how much does insurance run, I know it's pretty expensive, but I've never had any wrecks or been pulled over... granted I've only been driving 3 years now. I won't be driving it THAT much, but potentially everyday for maybe 20 miles or so on average. So for any owners out there, do you think it would be an okay investment for a student to buy one? Also, do they hold up well for someone that would be driving it everyday pretty much? Thanks in advance, anything you can tell me would be a big help! :)
